Harry Redknapp appointed Jordan manager

first_imgHarry Redknapp has been named manager of Jordan for their next two World Cup qualifying matches.The 69-year-old former Tottenham and West Ham boss will take charge of the March 24 clash with Bangladesh and the March 29 contest with Australia.Redknapp was also this week named a football advisor of Championship club Derby.Jordan currently trail Australia by two points in Group B in the second of three phases of Asian qualifying for the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia.Prince Ali Al Hussein, Jordan Football Association president and former FIFA presidential candidate, said: “I’m very proud to be able to announce Harry’s appointment to our national side.“He is a world class manager with an internationally recognised record at the highest level.“This is a fantastic step for the national game in Jordan.
