Senior Hilton Hotel scout finds top spot in Alderley

Picture: Supplied.But after 11 years in Singapore, Andrew and Karen Clough knew the best location for their growing family was back in Brisbane and so in 2015 they moved into 108 Chelford St, Alderley, an investment property they bought off the internet in 2008.Soon after, Mr Clough hung up his hat as Senior Vice President, Development, Middle East and Asia Pacific for Hilton Worldwide to become a private consultant. A solid house with space to relax both inside, outside, and on the veranda.Three years later, and with rowing and school commitments closer to the river, the family are now living in Auchenflower and have put their suburban oasis in Alderley on the market.But they have taken the landscape design company they used in Alderley to the new house.“I am working with them right now,” he said.“My brief to them in Alderley was that my wife and daughter had pollen allergies so not too strong scented flowers.“And then something that would grow and fill in the space and is good on maintenance.“They did a great job; we have a pruning cycling once or twice a year.
