NAFCU is seeking members’ input to the association’s official comment by Jan. 15.This proposal, released last month, offers the first major revamp of the agency’s FOM rules, covering all charter types, in more than 10  years.Input received from members by Jan. 15 will be used by NAFCU in formulating its own comment letter to NCUA. A NAFCU Regulatory Alert, posted online (for members only), requests comments about the proposal’s substantive changes to all three credit union charter types, including:Community Common Bond: The proposal would remove the “Core Area” service requirement, allow Combined Statistical Areas (CSAs) to count as “well-defined, local” communities, recognize congressional districts as Single Political Jurisdictions and increase the population limit for Rural Districts from 250,000 to 1 million.last_img
