Miracles happen! Proof of this is the fact that for the first time in Croatia, the directors of five Slavonian tourist boards gathered to jointly promote the beauties and tourist offer of Slavonia. Slavonia is a destination that has a lot to offer all 365 days a year, said Mislav Matišić, assistant director of the Osijek-Baranja County Tourist Board, adding: “One of the main motives for visiting our region is gastronomy, we also have two nature parks Kopački rit and Papuk that look divine in every season. Slavonia offers the most beautiful combination of tradition and urban, and everyone who comes for the first time is thrilled when they taste colors and smells, experience the mighty Danube, but also the Sava and Drava, endless vineyards, Golden Valley, Noble Route and discover that Slavonia is not just an endless plain. Just look at Požeška gora, Psunj and Papuk, Erdut and Bansko Brdo. With us you can ride a bike, quads, kayak, climb in adrenaline parks in Zlatna greda and Papuk…”Matisic pointed out. Martina Jakelić, director of the Virovitica-Podravina County Tourist Board, Maja Jakobović Vukušić, director of the Požega-Slavonia County Tourist Board, Ružica Vidaković, director of the Brod-Posavina County Tourist Board, Mislav Matišić, assistant director of the Osijek-Baranja County Tourist Board and Rujana Bušić Srpak, director of the Vukovar Tourist Board , who is also the coordinator of the Slavonia Cluster, presented the tourist attractions of the easternmost Croatian region – Slavonia. Photo: Borna Subota, Exe production Although there is still a long way to go before defining a complete tourist brand of Slavonia, we should certainly praise this first historical step towards joint promotion and synergy. Attachment: Explore the new promotional brochure Slaovnije / Brochure Slavonia 2019 Synergy is imperative, and Slavonia must be one tourist product and brand. It is only logical and efficient. This is a strong and concrete step forward in the promotion and presentation of Slavonia as a tourist destination in Croatia, points out Rujana Bušić Srpak, director of the Vukovar-Srijem Tourist Board and coordinator of the Slavonia Cluster, and added: The agreement on cooperation in creating and promoting the tourist brand “Slavonia”, signed last year by all five county tourist boards, the Croatian Tourist Board and the Ministry of Tourism, established the framework and activities to achieve the ultimate goal – product development and promotion as a generator of increasing tourism. results. None of the signatories can achieve this goal alone and therefore unity in the readiness to achieve all that Slavonia can do in tourism is a key success factor. We still have a lot to be proud of. As this is a new approach to promotion, the first step was to develop a strategic marketing plan for tourism in Slavonia with a branding plan for the period 2019-2025, which will soon be adoption, the brochure Slavonia was published this year, and joint appearances at fairs and special presentations have already given the first results”, Points out Rujana Bušić Srpak. Under the symbolic name “Sofas”, a presentation of this unique region was held in the Kavana Procaffe wine shop in the heart of Zagreb, with top Slavonian wines and the finest dishes signed by the Ilona Hotel Dunav, the first Michelin recommendation in that part of Croatia.
